CASA Pro Team
CASA DE LA SALSA is currently not recruiting for the PRO team,
but Almyra is looking for opportunities to develop smaller groups
and partnerships in 2010.

However, if you're curious about joining a team on what would be considered
a professional level, read below...
If you've ever wanted a chance to perform, or find out what it takes to perform,
and want to join a cooperative and dedicated group of salsa dancers whose sole intent
is to put on the best performance possible, you should contact me!

Please email me (Almyra88@hotmail.com).

FOR THE PRO TEAM:
CASA seeks motivated, committed, congenial, and mature dancers and team players.
Being part of the CASA PRO team is part of a Long-term "contract" of at least 1 year,
and the following, at minimum, are expected of you:

- You will be asked to attend all weekly rehearsals as scheduled
for the entire contract period (NO CURRENT PRO REHEARSALS SCHEDULED).
Things happen that often mean your commitment must be voided, but when you sign up,
you must know that for at least a year, you will be available
and committed for rehearsals and performances.
If you need to miss a rehearsal here or there, the team is flexible,
but if you know now that you cannot make these rehearsals on a regular basis,
unfortunately, I can't ask you to join the CASA PRO team.

- Being prompt is required - if you have a steady schedule conflict that you know of,
you must acknowledge these at the beginning, so the rehearsal director or choreographer
can make a determination about whether there are adjustments
possible for your participation
that won't affect the team,
the routine or the flow of rehearsals.

- You will be required to pay dues to cover various costs of being in the team,
including studio space & instruction.  Fees will be set after the team
is assembled, but will be between $80 - $120/month,
to cover 16 hours of rehearsal per month, on average.

- You will be asked to pay for your own costumes for each routine learned, and
you must have/purchase shoes and accessories that match any given
costume for a performance.

- Experience is needed - though not necessarily performing experience -
but at least 3 years of social dancing and instruction on2, unless I know you personally
and can determine that your dance experience and level of ability will work as part of
the professional team.

- Commitment to the team, yourself and to me as the choreographer is necessary.
There's no other alternative to hold a team together - but since this is a long-term contract,
you can decide at the end of the term, that being part of the CASA PRO team
is not for you - but at the beginning, and as far as you know, you must be committed
to rehearsing and performing as part of this team.  If things come up later, we deal with them then :)

- You will be expected to perform at the minimum,
at one or ALL of the following CASA de la Salsa Socials
which feature a CASA de la SALSA (Pro) Team performance
:
(NO PRO TEAM PERFORMANCES SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME)
If you know ahead of time that you are unavailable at any of the announced dates,
it doesn't mean you cannot be in the team, but
you MUST let me know, as soon as you know.

- Other performances requests may come up, that we discuss as a team,
and for which I ask every team member to do their best to be available for.

- The level of performance you reach will be determined by your commitment to practice,
willingness to learn and push your own ability, and ability to work with others as part of a team -
my promise to you is that I will give you as much instruction and encouragement as you
need to reach your potential.

- Certain rules of team conduct and professionalism, which may or may not be obvious, will
also be expected of you, and will be covered during a Team Intro meeting.

- Last but not least, if asked to join, you will be expected to continue your current level of social dancing
and/or be part of a class system in order to keep your skills fluent and evolving - in some cases, you will
be asked to attend additional classes, based on the skills level required of you.  You must NOT
rely on just being in the Performance Team to improve your skills as a dancer.  This is a requirement of
a Pro Team member, not an option.
