The story behind the Coco:
The first week our Ladies' performance group met, I introduced the song I wanted to do, by Cheo Feliciano - Tremendo Coco. I understand some Spanish, but had my worries about what "tremendo coco" actually meant - you can imagine what went through my head.
So I asked my old school Spanish slang experts in the class - Rosa and Annette - to research the title and the words to the song.
The amazing result, was how perfect the meaning of "tremendo coco" was for our routine. According to Annette's father, Ralph (thank you, sir!) "coco" is like a crush on a girl - so tremendo coco is like a MAD CRUSH! You'd say to a friend, if you wanted to encourage him, to "get with the coco."
If you want a complete translation of the song by Rosa and Annette, email me, and I'd be happy to share!
In the meantime, get with the coco! LOL - Get the t-shirts while they last:)
